Old Fashion Snail Subscriptions

In the digital age, there is nothing more special to me than receiving a piece of real mail - not some advertising, but real mail.  I think that is why the holidays is so exciting for me - because that is still the one time of the year that people still send holiday cards the old fashion way.  This is also the reason why subscriptions boxes are so exciting as well - a surprise in the mail!

The perfect subscriptions to send this love to friends and family around the year are: 

1. A Beautiful Mess Happy Mail: $20/month subscription to receive $50 worth of cards, notepads, prints and stationary.  Prices go down as low as $15/month with a 12 month commitment.  This subscription started in November 2014, I am excited to see they will continue to include in their future boxes.  With this subscription it seems like you get the most number of items. 

2. Nicely Noted: $20/month subscription that sends 3 letter pressed cards and stamps each month.  Love the included stamps, you don't need to go to the post office if you are mailing it friends & family in the US. They sure make it easy.   Nicely Noted also has the nicest cards - but I am a letterpress fan - so these cards are hard to beat for me.  However, it is more expensive at $20 for 3, although you are probably paying similar prices if you buy letter pressed cards outside. 

3. Pennie Post: $11/month subscription that sends at least 3 stationary items.  I like the price point of this subscription.  At the end of the day, most people throw away their cards no matter how nice...so it is easier to "throw away" $11/month rather than $20/month. 

4. Hello Happiness Card:  $20/month subscription for 5 (five) 4.5*5 inch folded cards, printed on 100% post-consumer recycles paper and 5 (five) envelopes. 

5. Haute Box:  A $20/quarter subscription of cards, pens, pencils and other stationary.  They are currently on a "break" according to their website - I am not sure when they will come back.   I will update this post if they return.
