BoxBespoke

Cost: $45/month, shipping is included

What is it: monthly themed lifestyle box for men

Best for: gentleman who enjoys craft cocktails, wears polished shoes and likes to shop at Nordstroms.

This post is a little late, I realize we are at the very end of July, but hey better late than never.   As soon as I saw the hop tasting kit in the Cheers box - I was sold.  I don't even know where to get a hop tasting kit - thus while the kit was not the most expensive item in the box - I needed to have it.

Normally you make your selection before the 6th and the box is shipped immediately after.  However, as luck would have it, this month, mine was not shipped until July 14th....

Upon opening the box - here is the pamplet describing the items on the box .

The beer tasting journal.  This was a good pocket size journal that I can see guys carry around in their jeans.

I like how the notebook has this flavor wheel to help you mark tasting.  Makes it really easy to make notes and not forget to take certain vital information. (I tend to do that after my first one)

The bottle opener and resealer. I wonder how the "reseal" part works - I do sometimes not finish a bottle - yes I am one of those.

Two Teku beer glasses. These glasses are made in Germany and when I first felt them, they were thicker than I expected because I am use to wine glasses  - what do I know about beer.

These glasses as stated on the box, are made with angular profile to help intensify aroma and they have narrow opening for foam retention.

The Bierfilzl coaster - looks cool but I have enough coasters as it is.

And finally, the hop tasting kit - aka the reason I bought CHEER.  The kit was smaller than I expected since it was in a small box.   It comes with the guide to teach you how to do the tasting.

Three kind of hop in the box.  You are suppose to toss the small pallets into mild beer and let it sit for a few days to be able to taste the difference in the hops.

Pistachios - do these taste particularly good with beer?

Finally, Bespoke included three of the "BEST" beer that people can get their hands on and I am excited to say I had two of them: The Ballast Point Sculpin and the Rodenback Grand Cru.

Off to drinking more beer!
