Subscription Box Trade

The nature of subscription boxes = get items you don't want.  Thanks to sites like MySubscriptionAddiction that created a trading post, many of us feverish on subscriptions boxes are active trades. To find out how to trade, check out my previous post detailing the trading process.

I recently lost my Fitbit, and I knew one of the Target & PopSugar collaborations included a Fitbit, thus I was on a mission to trade for one. (No, I didn't just want to buy one).  For about 2 months ago - yes it took awhile, I searched on the trading sites.  It wasn't readily available because when it is not a new box received from this season, the items are generally already traded - finally patience paid off, and as luck would have it, a fellow swapper requested to trade the Cluse La Bohemian Rose Gold Watch with dual straps ($132) from the fall Box of Style with me had the Fitbit on her trade list.

This watch looked so good I almost didn't trade it...but the Fitbit and the watch actually would take up the same real estate on my body - I had to pick one!

Here is what I received in the trade for this watch:

My swapper partner was so fabulous - not only did she package the box really well she wrote me a cute personal note! I love her!

She also wrapped each item in their own separate ziplock to ensure no leakage and protected from the weather in case the box was damaged.

In sample sizes I got: smashbox primer, Noabay lotion and Benefit they are real push-up liner.

She also included a bonus body butter from ellovi that I didn't request.  I also received a deluxe sample of Cynthia Rowley eyeliner.  The liner had great reviews and I have been waiting to try it for sometime.

In dull size I received the CULT nail polish in Boneyard ($12)

And finally! My prized Fitbit flex.  While I rather have the Fitbit One or the Fitbit Surge, I wasn't going to be picky.  I am just excited to start tracking my steps again.  I wanted the other two because the flex doesn't show your progress on the device itself, you have to read it on the app.  This is minor annoying because when I am out for a run I can't double check the distance without my phone.  The flex also doesn't track how many flights of stairs you climb.  Nonetheless, I am very happy with this trade.
